Watch out, total scam alert!!! A few times now I've received letters just like this one. Legit compensation programmes would never demand a payment upfront. Also, a Trade Ref number licence? That doesn’t even exist!

Absolutely the most convincing one so far! Got a fake FSCS letter as mentioned, and their phone pitch was spot on. Claimed a refund from African Land Ltd. I contacted my bank who confirmed it was a scam. Then they sent me to another dodgy number 0207 206 2736 with a lengthy spiel about needing a "Trade Licence" plus an upfront deposit. Warning signs: they push for fast payment and want immediate confirmation after you send the money.

Got a letter that looked like it was from the FSCS, complete with their official logo and all. But when I rang the number they gave, my phone showed it as Regency UK builders ltd. It was signed by someone named Richard Harvey claiming to be the "Head of Compliance." They asked me to complete a proof of debt form for some kind of payout. They kept saying they'd ring me back, and sure enough, they did - but from a withheld number.

I got a letter claiming to be from FSCS asking me to ring the number above to sort out a refund for a wrongly sold pension investment. When I called 02081080322, they told me I had to cough up £1850 for a temporary Trade Reference Number licence, which they said would be "reimbursed" in the final payout that was meant to be close to £30,000. I decided to ring FSCS myself and they’d never heard of it and warned me it was probably a scam. They told me to stop all contact with these fraudsters straight away.

I got a letter that looked like it was from the FSCS about some Capital Redemption Settlement linked to Albermarle Capital Ltd. The letter, signed by Richard Harvey, included the phone number above and mentioned some earlier letters, which confused me since I’d never heard from FSCS before. They urged me to urgently get in touch with the team handling this issue. Feeling unsure, I reached out through their online enquiry form to check what was going on. They replied saying they thought the letter might be a scam and warned me not to do anything else.

I got a letter that looked all official from FSCS about something called Capital Redemption Settlement Matthew Adams Limited. It was signed by a Mr Richard Harvey. When I called the number on the letter, they kept saying they’d return my call, but I never heard back. After checking directly with the actual FSCS, they confirmed it’s a scam.
