I got a voicemail from someone pretending to be HMRC, saying there was some urgent issue and I had to ring back ASAP or else there’d be serious trouble. The voice sounded American though, which made me pretty suspicious right away :)))

I got a voicemail saying it was from HMRC, said it was urgent and I needed to ring straight away. Sounds dodgy to me! The number that showed was 0208103 9689. Definitely feels like a scam.

I've had this too. Best thing is just to block and not reply. If it was really HMRC, they'd send a letter through the post.

Total rip off, got this weird voicemail again after about a year. It sounded like some robotic woman with a bit of an American twang, kinda like a female Bill Shatner or something. No way HMRC would be calling like this, they always send letters. Can’t wait to see them try that "Faceing...the...consequences" line again. Number was 02081039689.

Today I got a couple of calls saying I’m going to be arrested for some kind of tax fraud with HMRC or something similar, sounded really dodgy. Heard from people named Brian Lynch and Janet Woods during the week too. The number they called from was 02081039689. Shady stuff if you ask me.
