I just received a rather unsettling call featuring a rather mechanical voice claiming to be from HMRC. It warned me that I needed to return the call or get in touch with my solicitor, otherwise I’d face grave legal repercussions. Given that this isn’t the typical approach HMRC uses to reach out, I firmly believe it’s a scam call. The caller ID was supposedly "Automated HMRC," but I’m highly suspicious!
