Received a call from this number... some Indian chap named Sean or something along those lines. He was rather unhelpful, wouldn’t disclose which company he represented, just kept harping on about error messages on our windows and insisting he could “fix” them, provided we parked ourselves at the computer. As if we'd just drop everything to oblige! Frankly, he seemed blissfully unaware of my partner, who wouldn’t even touch the computer if it were on fire! Quite baffling how these folks got hold of our home phone number in the first place. Safe to say, it’s certainly time to add this one to the blocked list, in my opinion!

Received a call from someone identifying herself as "Robert Smith", which clearly was not her real name, given her distinctly Asian appearance. She claimed to offer support for Windows. She provided the number 02080990390 as her contact. We strongly believe this is a scam and suspect she may have accessed the BTinternet phone number.

Oh, blimey! We’ve recently had a run-in like that. We grilled the cheeky bugger and all she gave us was the number 0208 099 0390. Claimed to be with Microsoft Windows support but couldn’t point us to any official site. In any case, we kept her hanging on for ages, and in the end, she called us a clown-what a hoot! I reckon it's about time to go ex-directory, don't you think?

A chap named Rank claimed there were issues with our computer and insisted we stay put, stating that a team would guide us through resolving the matter. Apparently, an unauthorised intruder had managed to access the system.

I received a call from a lady with an accent that seemed to be of African origin. She claimed that my computer was infected with a virus and insisted she could guide me on how to remove it. When I inquired about her location, she mentioned “Victoria,” but failed to provide a proper company name. Instead, she kept saying it was all about my Windows operating system. The number she gave was 020809900390, but it all felt quite dodgy and unclear.

I recently received a call purporting to be from the Windows Support Team, claiming that there were alarming notifications on my computer signalling an impending motherboard failure. The lady on the line offered to help by accessing my system remotely, assuring me that it would be free of charge. However, her heavy Asian accent made it quite challenging for us to grasp what she was saying. Interestingly, she also gave the same phone number as listed above and went by the name of Peter Parker! Suffice it to say, we won’t be returning their call anytime soon.

I'm in the same boat, as I've been getting calls from these folks every Sunday morning for the last couple of weeks. They've also managed to ring me twice the other day and, unbelievably, three times just today! It's getting rather excessive!

I had a rather familiar experience, where someone claimed there was a problem with our computer and asked me to carry out certain actions. The chap on the phone had a heavy Indian accent, making him a bit tricky to comprehend. I told him I would contact the police to verify her identity.

We received a similar call at our residence where they asked for a payment, which my partner went ahead and settled. They also provided a number and started a process of cleaning up the PC. Is this all above board?

An Indian gentleman called me earlier, and it was the same old tale. He claimed there was a problem with their computer systems and mentioned that error messages were popping up on their side. He insisted we needed to access our computer so he could guide us step-by-step to rectify the issue. I took down his phone number and told him we would verify his claims before proceeding with anything. He introduced himself as Sam.

Received a call today claiming there was a problem with our computer and that we needed to be in front of it. They insisted that a team would guide us through resolving the issue. It became evident that this was a scammer trying to exploit us, as it seems they’ve managed to breach our systems.

I recently found myself caught up in what can only be described as a scam. The wisest course of action was to reach out to Consumer Direct on the number 08454 04 05 06. They’ll take down the details for informational purposes and share it with the relevant enforcement bodies. There's definitely the possibility that this falls into the realm of misrepresentation. If the payment was made via credit card, Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act could potentially offer some protection. For transactions completed using a debit card, you might want to check if your bank participated in the Chargeback scheme, although I should mention that this is entirely voluntary.

I’ve just had a rather dodgy call from a bunch claiming to be “Ambit Worldwide” and also going by “FixnClick”. They’re operating from India and completely disregarded the Telephone Preference Service. They rang me out of the blue, insisting that there’s an issue with my computer and they need to step in to "resolve" it. They’ve got their stories straight about where they’re calling from, but I suspect it’s all a load of nonsense. They were trying to scare me into giving them access to my device, claiming it was urgent, and then demanded quite a sum for their so-called 'services'. Total con artists, if you ask me!
