When I asked who had arranged the replacement, he mentioned NPower. Thing is, NPower has never been our energy provider. He then said sorry, claimed he had the wrong details, and asked me to wait while he checked again. Since we had our meter checked less than a year ago and definitely don’t use NPower, I called him out as a scammer and ended the call.
