I've been getting calls from a bunch of similar numbers lately, including one ending in 1 with a noisy call centre buzzing in the background on the voicemail. This number is definitely dodgy and part of a scam. They've been ringing me up twice daily for about a week now, switching between different but closely related numbers. If you get called by this lot, make sure you report it because it’s all part of the same scammy scheme.

A guy with an Italian accent said he worked for Blockchain Investigations and claimed he could help me get money supposedly kept in an account under my name. He told me he was approved by UK regulators like the FCA and asked me to use Any Desk so he could guide me through releasing the funds. I was certain right away that he was trying to scam me and told him straight up.
