Received a call concerning investments today. I informed the caller several times that I was struggling to hear them, and instead of addressing my issue, she pried into my age. When I clearly stated that such personal information was irrelevant to our conversation, she brought up some vague notion of security. I eventually explained that I had no money to invest, but still find it quite baffling-and rather irritating-that I was contacted from England while residing in France. This is all the more concerning as I have previously fallen victim to fraud, with HSBC being implicated. It's quite unsettling.

I received a rather intrusive call regarding investments. I kept mentioning that I struggled to hear them properly, yet they insisted on asking me my age. When I pushed back, saying it was irrelevant, they brought up some flimsy excuse about security. I informed them that I had no money to invest, but was quite taken aback and mildly irritated by a call from the UK while I’m based in France. It’s worth noting that I’ve fallen prey to scams in the past, one of which involved HSBC.
