Got a call on Friday at around 6:40 pm from some bloke talking about property or something, but he mumbled so I just ended the call. Total spam, I reckon.

They offered me a reduction on my EE phone bill but only if I handed over my email and the password for my EE account. Seemed a bit dodgy to me!

Got a call from someone saying they were with EE, trying to pitch me some kind of loyalty upgrade deal that was never fully explained. Asked them to be clearer and all they did was keep going over the same sales line without actually answering my questions. Then they just hung up on me - probably got fed up! 😂

Answered the phone and could hear what sounded like a scam call centre in the background before they just hung up. Definitely some kind of scam.

Got a call from a number I didn't recognise, no voicemail or anything left. Seen a few reviews about it, so just going to block it straight away.

Haha, typical ones, right? The same old lot every time!

This number kept pestering me so much that I had no choice but to block it. Then, outta nowhere, it called my work phone too and guess what? I blocked it there as well. Pretty sure it's some sort of scam cos they left a voicemail saying I gotta upgrade my EE device or else my account would get blocked. Total nonsense if you ask me!

I picked up but stayed silent. Then an automated voice just said "Goodbye" before hanging up. Instantly blocked!

I picked up the phone but said nothing, then a recorded message just said 'Goodbye' and ended the call.

I caught the Indian accent right away, and could hear a hectic office buzzing in the background. I answered with a simple hello, and a man said he was calling from Three or EE or something like that... I just left the phone on speaker, face up on my desk, not really reacting to him. He kept asking, "Hello? Are you there, Sir?" Eventually I just said "Hello!" back. He went through his spiel again, but I stayed quiet. He repeated "Hello? Are you there, Sir?" one more time before finally hanging up. Thankfully, no calls from them today.

Got a call from a bloke who claimed he was calling from Ee, but I’m not convinced it was legit. Might’ve been one of those sketchy calls from India.

Lately I’ve had loads of calls from this 02080970666 number, supposedly from EE. They kept warning me that my phone would be cut off if I didn’t update my SIM. They kept pushing me for my account info but when I said no, they got really rude and started yelling. Proper sketchy!

They claimed to be from O2 or Virgin Media and somehow already knew quite a bit about me. They promised a free tablet and discounted bills since I’ve been with them for ages. Before I knew it, I’d given them my home address, how long I’ve lived there, and even my personal email. Only then did I cotton on to what was really going on.

Avoid picking up - it's a dodgy phone call trying to get you into a contract scam.

There was loads of noise in the background, like people chatting loudly. The caller asked, "Are you there?" I reckon I replied with a "yeah," but couldn’t catch what she said after that because she had a really thick foreign accent. I ended up just hanging up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, saying I needed a new SIM card. Don’t fall for it and never share your details. Your current SIM will keep working fine, no worries.

Typical North American scammer nonsense. They fibbed about their affiliation, tried to fish for my info, and ended up swearing like mad when I didn't fall for it.

Got a call from someone saying they were from "3G" wanting to check the email linked to my account. I don't even have an account with them! They said it was to see if I qualified for some 40% discount on a contract I’ve never had. Totally suspicious to me.

Got a call from 020 8097 0666 claiming to be from Three, saying my SIM was gonna be blocked soon and I needed to pay up to keep it active. I basically told them to just block it then and hung up. Got a call from someone saying they were EE and offered a 30% discount on my bill because of bad coverage. Then they asked for my password details, which seemed dodgy to me, so I just ended the call. Sounded like it was coming from a call centre abroad.

Got a call from a woman mumbling about some sort of feedback regarding an audio or audit thing.. totally unclear, plus I haven’t bought anything like that recently. She kept calling me madam, but when I told her I had no clue what she meant, suddenly it switched to sir, haha. Number was blocked so I just hung up.

There was absolutely nothing clear, just this whole bunch of indistinct chatter, like you’re standing in the lobby of a theatre with folks milling about. Couldn’t make out a single word.

My dad's friend got a call from this number but didn't pick up. It seemed like just some random dialling. What threw me off was the last three digits being 666. No message was left either. I'd say it's definitely a scam, so best to ignore and not pick up.

How come these #### aren’t taken to court for scamming people with fake promises? They’re basically con artists taking advantage of folks who don’t know any better. Watch out and never hand over your details or cash!
