They kept asking me to verify my address but mumbling so much I could barely catch it. When I asked what company they were with and the reason for the call, they just ended the call straight away. This happens to me all the time now, I’m thinking I’ll just report it.

These days, scam calls are everywhere. I picked up the phone but stayed quiet. The person on the other end was mumbling something I couldn’t make out. I kept silent, and then they started swearing before hanging up. That was enough for me - blocked straight away.

I didn’t pick up when it rang, but I called the number back later and got an automated message saying I’d ‘successfully installed an Asterisk open source PBX’. Bit odd, since I hadn’t signed up for or done anything like that, especially on my mobile phone. It made me think this might be an autodialler used by companies to make cold calls. So, I wouldn’t say it’s a scam or dangerous, just really annoying.
