So this bloke rings me up asking for my bank info, right? I told him that his mum promised to pay me after I had a bit of fun with her, but I kinda forgot to give her anything except a bit sticky she could take in. The guy sounded proper turned on, started making noises all weird, then his mate smacked him when he came all over the desk and even his own face. What a mad call!

Got a call from someone and honestly couldn’t make out what they were saying at all? If you’re going to try and con somebody whose first language is English, maybe brush up on how to actually speak clearly first!

Scammer Alert! They claimed to be representing Three. When I probed about the reason for their call, they mentioned they were eager to offer me a 25% discount on my existing bills but insisted on obtaining all my private information first. Upon requesting proof of their affiliation with Three, their response was quite rude - they told me to “jog on.” Quite the dodgy character, I must say!

I just had a phone call from someone claiming to be O2, saying they could slash my monthly bill by 40%. I cut him off pretty quick, just asked for the actual monthly figure so I wouldn't have to sit through the usual nonsense. After a few tries, he said £12 a month and then ended the chat. I actually use Lebara and pay under £5 a month, and honestly, I stick to my old pay-as-you-go plan which suits me fine - I spend less than £30 a year anyway.

This bloke said his name was Michael and was supposedly from Three, but he had a really strong Indian accent. When I told him I knew he wasn’t really from Three, he got proper rude and started swearing at me before I just ended the call. Sadly, nowadays if you get a call with that kind of Indian accent, it’s usually a scam, so best to just ignore and hang up.

Rogue caller alert! Blocking them doesn’t really help as they keep ringing you from different numbers. What’s actually worked for me is giving a loud whistle right into the phone - it’s honestly stopped loads of those annoying calls. Claimed to be representing 3 Mobile, but the way he spoke was absolutely dreadful. He kept insisting, "I am from 3 Mobile, got it?" I couldn’t help but chuckle and told him, "No, you're not," before promptly ending the call. Total scammer. I’m definitely passing this along to the fraud hotline at 7726.

TOTAL SCAM. Blocking these scam calls is pretty useless as they just keep ringing from different numbers. What actually helped me loads was letting out a loud whistle down the phone whenever they called. Received a call purporting to be from Three, supposedly aiming to help me lower my monthly payments. They inquired about my current expenditure, to which I replied that I don’t even have an account with Three! It didn’t take long for them to cut the line. My lad does have a SIM with them, mind you, but if he’d been genuine, he would’ve been aware of my son’s charges. Quite the cheek!

I got a ring from some bloke who sounded Indian. As soon as I picked up, I could hear him chatting in an Indian language, having a laugh with someone else in the background. Then he said something about calling from three or something, and I just cut the call straight away. Definitely one of those dodgy call centre scams!

Got caught up in one of those dodgy phone contract scams. I played along, acted all weak and helpless, said I was old and vulnerable. Still, the woman kept pushing for cash.
