I got a call saying I'd been in a car crash, but I never had one.

Someone rang me up saying I was eligible for some insurance payout after a car crash where it wasn’t my fault. They offered help to get the claim sorted. Turns out it was a scam! Really watch out for these con artists!

They wanted to talk to the person who owns my business, but I don’t think they ever said what company they were from. Plus, they kept messing up how to say my name. I was pretty annoyed and started giving them a bit of a telling off before they just cut me off.

This was definitely a con. They called asking if I’d been in a car crash, which I never have. Pretty shady stuff.

Similar situation here, they already had all my info but kept asking which bank I used so they could apparently send me a £60 refund. When I said it seemed dodgy, the guy got rude and asked if I really believed Sky would scam me, then just hung up. The number goes straight to an answerphone with no company info. I've reported it to Sky today, hoping they’ll look into it properly.
