At 11.59am on the 30th of May 2022, my phone showed a call from 020 8089 8755 while I was still in bed, but I didn’t pick up. Today, I've fielded three calls from the number 020 8089 8755. Each time, it's been an automated voice delivering a rather alarming message about supposed dubious activities linked to my bank account. It claimed there were two transactions processed today, totalling around £2000. The message prompts you to press 1 to connect with a representative. Given that I check my bank accounts religiously, I can assure you this is a load of nonsense - pure and simple scam artistry. I've taken steps to protect myself, employing BT Call Protect and reporting this number twice now, yet the calls persist, which is quite concerning. I urge everyone to stay vigilant!

When I asked which bank they represented, they just said they work with loads of different banks. I got a call from someone claiming to sell domain names related to bed and breakfasts. I thought I knew the voice from a previous call, but when I mentioned it, she said it wasn’t her. Feels like a bit of a scam or just plain sales pitch. Not impressed.

I had a bit of a laugh with them before they suddenly cut off. This was the worst scam call I've ever had! The shaky English and constant noise in the background really made it clear they weren’t really from O2. Even when I said I wasn't the person on the account, they kept pushing. But once I mentioned O2’s data protection rules, they just dropped the call. So dodgy.
