My elderly aunt, who’s 76, got a call from some dodgy person saying she owed three years' payments on a boiler, but if she sorted it now, she’d only have to cover one year. The man sounded really rude and was pushing hard to get her bank details. When I asked him for his name, the company’s address and a contact number, he started making a fuss and gave dodgy answers. I’m really relieved I was around to handle it because she was scared and wouldn’t have had a clue what to do alone - could’ve easily ended up giving away personal info. Honestly, don’t pick up for these sharks or let them con you into anything.

This afternoon, my 89-year-old dad got a call from someone claiming to be Hamilton Stone, trying to convince him to renew TV insurance that he doesn't even have! What’s really worrying is that the bloke actually knew the name dad uses on his bank account and managed to get him to give out his debit card details! Dad told me a few hours later. I rang TSB straight away and thankfully, their security stopped two transactions earlier today - one for £134 from Fully Protected Ltd and another for £149 from Prestige Home Services. Really grateful for the bank’s safeguards. The guy called dad back, asking if he’d contacted the bank yet, probably hoping for the payment to go through, but dad said no and he sounded annoyed. I tried ringing the number to speak to this Hamilton Stone myself, but it’s not even a valid number! My dad got lucky, but honestly, please watch out for your elderly family members - these scammers have zero morals!

I’ve just noticed that £134 has been taken from my bank account by something called Fully Protected LTD. I have no idea who or what that is. The phone number linked to this on my statement is 02023280898323, and it also mentions INT’L 0049933. Anyone else experienced this?

Beware of those so-called washing machine cover deals - it’s just a complete scam! I got roped into buying one thinking it's legit, but it was a total waste. Nothing they promised was true. Don’t fall for it like I did.

Got a call from some firm insisting I owed money for an insurance plan I never even signed up for. Totally bogus!

On the 1st of December 2021, someone called me saying they were Hamilton Stone from Fully Protected Ltd, supposedly in Ashford. I’m baffled how they managed to get hold of my card info, but £194 was taken from my account. I’ve since cancelled the card.

My mum, who’s 85 and quite hard of hearing, got sold a service contract for a washer she’s not had for years. They'd been told beforehand she didn’t own it anymore, but still took £194 out of her account. I’ve tried calling the number they used loads of times but no one ever picks up. Eventually, I just get this recorded message saying “no answer from this port, please try again later.” Now, I’m trying to sort it out and get her cash back.

Got a call from someone claiming to offer TV insurance from a firm named Fully Protected. I looked them up and couldn’t find any trace online. Seems like a complete rip-off to me.
