I got two calls in one day from someone claiming to be Openreach, saying they were switching me from copper to fibre and asking about my internet speed. The first call I just ended right away because it seemed fishy. When they rang back, I decided to feed them some fake details. Then they tried to connect me to a manager, who kept asking about my speed again. I told them I didn’t think they were legit and then they just hung up on me. Definitely feels like a dodgy scam, so I’m blocking the number.

I get calls every day from someone saying they're with BT Openreach doing broadband speed checks, but they only ask about my Android phone. It sounds like a total scam to me. My internet’s fine, and Sky told me to just block the number.

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT broadband, trying to get me to adjust my computer settings right away. When I told them I'd get back to them after thinking it over, they started pushing me harder. It didn't feel like how BT usually works. The phone number they called from didn't connect to anything BT-related either. Plus, the caller spoke in very broken English with a heavy accent, which really made me doubt it was legit BT. Definitely seems like a scam to me!
