Was on the road when this number rang me, couldn’t catch half of what bloke was saying cos of all the noise. I told him I was driving and asked if he could call again in an hour once I was home. He just said “hope you crash” and then cut me off. Proper rude!

Without a doubt, this is a blatant scam. I noticed a missed call from this number and decided to ring back. The person who picked up, a man with an Indian accent, claimed to be from HMRC and asked me to confirm my personal info. When I told him I’d check for an official email first, he just ended the call. I rang again and told them they were scammers and asked to be removed from their calls, but they flat out refused. Now I’ve blocked the number so they can’t bother me anymore.

Got a recorded message saying it was HMRC, threatening me with legal action unless my lawyer got in touch. Didn't mess about and just blocked the call straight away.

So I got a call from a lady with an Indian accent claiming she was from some energy expert company, talking about my energy supply. When I asked how she got my number, she said it came from my current energy provider. Like, as if they would hand out my details like that! I pointed out that sharing and using my info like that was probably breaching GDPR laws. She sounded a bit rattled and quickly assured me she'd remove me from their list.
