I got a call from a bloke claiming to be with some company called Metaquote. Sounded quite polite, chatting about stocks and investments and the like. Seen this all before though - months back I had a similar call pushing me to invest £250, promising amazing returns and all that jazz. Total scam, I could tell straight away, so I passed. Since then, four other calls about the same thing. When this latest guy rang, I told him about those earlier scams. He seemed well thrown, said he’d check with his fraud folks, said sorry, and that was that.

I got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT. The connection was awful, and I told him he was definitely a scammer. He swore at me and slammed the phone down straight away! What a charming fellow!

Got a call from a lady with a foreign accent asking about some films I supposedly asked for on Instagram. Thing is, I don't use Instagram at all! When I told her this, she just said she’d call me again later. Bit odd if you ask me.
