6 yearsI received a call from this number on 20 October 2020 at precisely 15:29. The gentleman on the other end informed me that my yearly television premium of £99 was due for renewal tomorrow. To my surprise, I had no recollection of ever signing up for such a contract. He claimed that I had agreed to a five-year arrangement two years ago and that I could terminate it today by paying a fee of £89.95, along with an offer of one year’s coverage free of charge! After the call, I promptly reviewed my bank statements and found no evidence of any £99 payments being taken over the past two years. I strongly believe that if I had been duped into paying the cancellation fee, I would have been asked for my banking details.
