I’m seriously considering ringing O2 directly for clarification, though my instincts strongly suggest it’s probably a scam.

It’s possible they’re legitimate; they just rang me up. I had a chat with Virgin last week regarding an upgrade, and they mentioned an O2 deal for roughly £7 as well, what with the merger and all.

They’ve rang me loads over the past few days but never say a word when I answer. I can hear loads of people chatting and typing away in the background, but the person on the line stays silent. Really annoying and feels like harassment!
