It was clearly a con, they claimed my Sky gear insurance had run out. First off, they rang my mobile but the Sky account is actually in my partner’s name, and it’s got no connection to my phone number. Plus, we never signed up for any insurance anyway and the equipment is never officially ours under our plan. The bloke, who sounded like he was Asian, tried to convince me it was genuine when I told him I knew it was a scam, but I just ended the call.
