They only called a couple of times then quit before I could pick up. Seems like one of them auto diallers that buzz loads of phones at once, and whoever picks up first is the poor sod stuck dealing with the hassle.

Every time I pick up, there's a silence on the other end for what feels like an eternity-around 10 or 15 seconds-before someone claims to be representing a "debt" firm or simply disconnects the call. If I try to ring the number back, I find I've been blocked. It's becoming far too frequent for my liking. I'm really starting to lose patience!

Said they were from Enterprise UK investments, checking up on a chat from a year ago about investment options. But that’s rubbish - they had my old address, which I left over three years back, so if there was a real call last year, they’d have my current details by now. Definitely just a cold call. Whether or not they were trying to scam, it was unsolicited and wrong to be probing about investments I never said I was interested in.

They mentioned a call from about a year ago regarding a business deal that never came to anything and even used one of my old addresses to try and make it look genuine. The thing is, I only stayed there for like a month, and I’m pretty sure that address has been linked to scams before. Stay well clear!!!

No idea really, but each time I get a spam call from London, it always shows the same place. That roundabout near Trafalgar Square, between Admiralty Arch and Northumberland Avenue, has got to be full of scammers. You'd think with a city as huge as London, someone would have worked out a better way to divide the areas. Trafalgar Square as a location is pretty useless. Might as well just say "Somewhere in London". BT, you should bring back the old local phone exchanges, surely you have better ways to trace calls. It must be a nightmare for phone engineers if that’s all they can get!

Some bloke said he was from investors uk and that I'd chatted with one of his mates before, also wanted to check my email. The call kept dropping out and when I mentioned it, he sounded proper agitated. Then he just hung up on me.
