Some bloke rang me saying he was from O2 and that my contract had ended. I told him to check his info properly because there's no way he was with O2.

Received a call from someone purporting to represent plan.com, asserting that they're affiliated with o2. They were keen to discuss renewing my o2 contract and kept pressing for my reasons for not wanting to proceed. I'm a bit sceptical about whether this is a genuine company, so I decided to end the conversation.

Got a call from a London number that wasn’t in my contacts, so I just ignored it. They didn’t leave any voicemail. Cheers to everyone sharing info on here - I’ve blocked the number now. Bit annoying, cos I’m sure they’ll have plenty more to ring, but I won’t be picking up them either! :)

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming she was from O2, trying to push some upgrades on me. She was pretty insistent, but luckily my suspicion radar stopped me from falling for any dodgy tricks.

It’s a dodgy number, best to avoid picking up!

Whilst I was indulging in a bit of retail therapy, he mentioned that I had accumulated quite a bit of usable credit on my mobile. He assured me he would ring me back shortly.

This number keeps calling me with all sorts of dodgy offers, like washing machine warranties or trying to sell life insurance. Every time I say no and don’t share any info, they get quite pushy. Blocking the number doesn’t help either, because then calls come through from a similar number, clearly from the same outfit. They often pretend to have very British names but you can hear from their accents they’re actually overseas, plus there’s noise in the background like they’re in some call centre. Proper annoying!

Got a call saying my O2 contract was about to finish and they could sort me out with a better deal. I’m not even with O2, never have been! I told them that and they just hung up on me. Sounded like it was an Indian call centre or something.

Someone said they were from Three then started asking what I pay and how much time I got left on my deal.

Got a call at 5:14 PM from tps mobile. I had my phone on silent so didn't pick up. Later, I got a text from that number saying I missed a call, but there was no actual message included. I've now reported the number to 7726.

Just a load of scammers, absolute low lifes.

Sometimes I get these dodgy calls about kids and education stuff. They keep going on about how I supposedly agreed to something on a previous call, which obviously seems like a trick. When you start asking them questions, they just hang up straight away!

Some bloke rang up about school books or summat, then suddenly says I owe £300! Definitely a scam, stay well away from it!!

Had a bloke ring me claiming I agreed to buy school books a couple months back, which I never did, never had a chat with him at all! Then he goes on about paying £299 now cause the books are ready. Complete rubbish, total scam. I just said nothing and ended the call sharpish. Proper conmen...

So these book scammers have rang me three times in just a few days, asking for more than £300. They’re really persistent, kept pushing and I told them I'd report them to the police, then they just ended the call.

I received a call from someone claiming that I had consented to pay £299 for some educational booklets. When I challenged him, stating that I hadn't actually agreed to anything, I requested him to provide evidence of my signature. He audaciously claimed it was a verbal agreement over the phone. I firmly reiterated that I would never have agreed to such a thing, to which he responded by saying he’d pass the matter on to their legal team before abruptly ending the call.

Received a call earlier claiming I’d registered for some school booklets. When I informed her that I hadn’t received any communications regarding this and that it seemed dodgy, she mentioned passing it on to the queries department before abruptly ending the conversation. Quite the cheek!

Last year, some bloke called me up and said he’d get in touch again. He kept going about kids’ books at schools and this stranger awareness stuff. I just told him straight up that he was talking rubbish ’cause the info he had on me was way out of date.

It felt like I was on the phone to a rather large call centre, with all the noise in the background. The gentleman on the line claimed that I had consented to having road safety booklets printed for schools and that I was now liable for a charge of £299. I decided it best to hang up. Just another dodgy scam, if you ask me!

Claimed to be ringing from 'Safety UK', but abruptly ended the call when I inquired further about the purpose.

Got a call from a guy named Jonathan, said it's a follow-up from around Christmas time. He was talking about donating books to primary schools or something. Doesn’t this sound like one of those scams from a few years back? They tried to get folks to back some leaflet about d#### awareness if I remember right. Bit fishy if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be about child support or maybe some sort of protection thing. When I handed the phone over to my husband, they just ended the call straight away. We're both in our seventies and don’t have any kids!
