Somebody called saying they were from the FIB, the Financial Investigation Bureau or something, supposedly in Luxembourg. They wanted me to verify some personal info. The woman on the line sounded totally mixed up about whether it was me they were checking out or someone else. I even took my phone into the loo and ran the tap so they could hear it, and they had no clue what that noise was. Made me think they must be calling from somewhere without normal plumbing at all.

This number kept ringing my mum and was trying to scam her, I think. Then they showed up asking for a cheque for some sort of art investment. Mum, who’s been going in and out of hospital with her cancer, couldn’t really recall what was going on.

I just had a run-in with these lot called 'Treasury Asset Consultants'. They were attempting to scam an elderly woman who apparently owns shares in Shell or a similar firm. They wanted her to pay £3,500 for some artwork, planning to come round and pick up the cheque themselves! It's baffling how they even found out about her shares or personal details. Luckily, she wasn’t fooled this time. What a cheeky scam!

Tried ringing this number again but it's no longer active. I wouldn't waste your time, looks like it was probably from a scammer.
