Somebody called saying they worked for the FCA Fraud team, saying they were checking up on victims of scams. When I asked them to remove me from their list, they flat out refused and said they'd keep ringing me - sounded really dodgy. Definitely not a genuine number.

Can someone tell me if this is a legit business like PayPal security or just a private number? I've been contacted by someone - I think it’s just one person - who's currently being looked into by both PayPal and my bank. This individual keeps reaching out to me through socials, which feels like stalking and harassment. The whole story seems odd; first, the accounts said they were from the US, then France, and the names looked African. They cut off as soon as I picked up, but honestly, it's quite unsettling. The number says it’s from London. Does anyone know who this might be?
