They called saying my PC was picking up some sort of virus and said they needed to take over my machine to fix it. I was so naive, I let them have remote access just to see what they were talking about. My father-in-law fell for the same trick and ended up paying £80 for this 'service' to remove the supposed infected files. Don’t fall for it, it's a total scam.

He kept asking for my husband, speaking in really bad English. When I asked more, he finally said he was from the economist.

Dodgy claim management service, if you ask me. They were inquiring about a nonexistent claim of mine, clearly fishing for something that simply isn't there.
