Got a call from some bloke trying to sell me bitcoin. He clearly didn’t have a clue what he was talking about, and when I asked him some questions, he got pretty nasty. Not impressed at all.

Total rip off, dodgy call for sure!

Got a dodgy automated call claiming I'm the "main suspect" in some "case" and that my home is being watched. Total scam, but honestly, it gave me a bit of a fright. Definitely gonna report it.

Got this message too saying something about HMRC and my house being watched, yeah right. These scam people seriously need to be caught, they’d freak out old or vulnerable folks for sure. Best thing is just to block and ignore them. Really glad there’s a site like this where we can warn each other about these dodgy calls.

Pretty clear scam, I reckon, probs targeting folks who’ve just finished their tax returns to scare them a bit.

I got this call the other day that really spooked me - it was one of them recorded messages claiming I owed money and that HMRC were going to take legal steps if I didn’t sort it. Honestly, if you’re not on the lookout, it’s the kinda thing that could terrify someone. Thought it legit at first till I remembered HMRC usually contacts you through letters, not scary automated calls.

Got a voicemail from some mysterious number saying my home was being watched - honestly freaked me out. I’ve blocked the caller now but still think this should be reported somewhere. Feels like nobody wants to deal with it, which is really annoying!!!

I found myself on the receiving end of three missed calls from this number. When I finally decided to ring back, a chap named George Walton, claiming to be with HMRC, answered. He rattled off some badge number and insisted I had an outstanding tax bill of £779, warning me of a lawsuit if I didn’t settle up at once. Quite obviously, this is utter balderdash!

Got a call like this earlier, so I tried ringing back from my home phone. The person on the other end asked for the mobile number they’d called, which seemed a bit dodgy to me. I refused, and they cheekily told me to find myself a decent lawyer haha. Thankfully, it’s no hassle for me, but I bet plenty of elderly or vulnerable folks might fall for it. Honestly, I don’t get why no one’s blocked that number yet? Seems like common sense to me.

Got a voicemail from them earlier. Kinda annoyed I missed what might’ve been a bit of fun banter. If you get calls like that you don’t want, best to report them through the Information Commissioner’s Office. The old TPS was pointless but the ICO actually takes things seriously now. I found it a bit funny, but I guess the threatening vibe could be really distressing for others.

This number has rung me twice on my phone and both times left a voicemail claiming my property is being watched and I need to contact HMRC. When I phoned back, a man answered saying it was HMRC, but as soon as I mentioned I was returning their call, he just ended the call. Trying from a landline just gives an "out of service" message. I've notified the Police about this.

Stay clear of that number, pure scam! Got a creepy recorded message claiming my home was being watched and threats about legal stuff. Later, some bloke rang me, acting all tough and trying to scare me. Told him to show up at my place so I could sort him out with a good punch, haha!

Honestly, I just hope no one takes the bait on this one. Some folks might get scared, others just irritated, but honestly, it’s plain daft for the majority. Apparently, the HMRC is keeping an eye on my place, but they clearly haven’t got a clue about how little I actually make.
