My mum got a text saying she'd upgraded her phone plan, which she never did. She rang back to check and it wasn’t her at all. Apparently, someone pretending to be called Jessica called her from +37129115092. The scammer even gave her two numbers to ring if she needed 'help' - +02080786568 and 07853757376. Proper dodgy stuff.

Somebody rang saying they were from EE and used EE’s own texting system to try and get into my EE account. Luckily, I caught on quick and EE managed to block them before any damage was done. They already knew my name and their trick was about sending me a new SIM because of the EE and BT merge - they even mentioned a website to make it sound legit. Watch out for this one!
