Got a call from some lottery con artists, they already knew my name and some other info. They made up a tale about me winning a free lotto and asked if I’d won anything before, told me I’d supposedly won a prize. Then they tried to get my bank info.

Got a call from some lottery scammers, they knew my full name, where I live, my email and even my birthday which was creepy. They wanted my bank details but I didn’t give them anything and just ended the call. My question is, can they still do anything with the info they already got? Anyone got advice?

They never pick up but ring me like 6 times daily.

They ring me about every 4 or 5 hours throughout the day. I picked up one time and they hung up straight away.

The gentleman I spoke with identified himself as Kevin and claimed to represent a lottery company. He inquired about my email, account number, and sort code. I noticed he had a prominent Indian accent and there seemed to be quite a lot of commotion on his end, suggesting he was in a hurry.

Greetings! I've received a total of four calls from this particular number-three yesterday (on Friday) and one today. I chose not to pick up, but my curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to do a bit of digging. I'm grateful for the insights and reviews shared here; they've proven to be quite beneficial. I strongly advise against answering this number as it seems to be linked to a scam. Armed with this newfound knowledge, I shall be steering clear of it myself, especially since I can't seem to find a way to block it on my phone. Cheers!

I've been getting calls from this number non-stop for the past week. I haven't picked up, but it's becoming utterly tiresome. They've already tried to ring me three times today alone!

Got a couple of calls from a woman earlier today, proper pushy she was. I told her flat out I wasn't into it. Then she goes, "why did you bother entering the contest if you weren’t interested?" She said her name was "Nikky". Honestly, just ignore it - it's dodgy!

Got a call from a white woman with an Aussie accent about some lottery thing. I made it clear right away I wasn’t interested. She phoned me twice the same day and was pretty pushy. She mentioned something about making a one-time payment if I don’t win the jackpot, and then I’d get the money back. I told her I’d ring back later cos she was really getting on my nerves and just wouldn’t take no for an answer.

So, some bloke called me and was really condescending, started off saying he was someone from a place or a company - can't remember the exact name now. I didnt like the way he spoke at all, so I just told him "I dunno, how’d you get this number?" and hung up before he could reply. Not sure if the call would have cost me anything, I absolutely hate these intrusive calls. Now I’m kicking myself for not asking him a bit more since he actually knew my name.

It’s obvious they’re just scammers. Whenever I get a call beginning with 020, I usually let it ring out and then block the number. Seems like they keep switching to new numbers every couple of weeks.

Got calls from an Indian lady about some iPhone contest she said I joined like 3 to 6 months ago. I told her I never entered any competition and she seemed a bit confused. She rang me 4 times over 2 days before I finally picked up.

Someone said they were from the lottery and said they’d send free Euro lines by email. Their voice was really dull like they were just reading from a script. Then they asked which bank I use for my online lottery account. When I told them I had no idea, they just hung up. They called me about 4 times today.
