Someone called saying they were from BT, telling me my broadband and landline had been switched to a public provider. When i asked to check if it was really BT on the line, they just ended the call.

I received a handful of missed calls from this number while I was busy at work. Once I got off, I thought I'd give them a ring back. Upon answering, the individual asserted that my home was eligible for some government scheme or other. The whole thing felt a bit off, especially with the caller's strong foreign accent and the unmistakable sounds of a bustling call centre in the background. I quickly lost interest and ended the conversation.

Got a call but couldn’t answer, so I’ve just blocked the number now.

I didn't pick up the first time they rang, but they called me again later claiming my household had won some government lottery scheme. The lady on the line spoke with a really strong Indian accent. She started asking whether I owned or rented my flat, which I felt was way too personal, so I told her that wasn’t any of her concern and hung up straight away. Feels like they were just fishing for info to use or sell, if you ask me.

So, yesterday I answered a call thinking it was from a local number, but it turned out to be some energy saving scheme. The person on the line started going on about this government project where every home’s meant to have something by 2025 or so. I told ’em thanks but no thanks and hung up. They tried ringing me again today, but I ignored it and don’t plan on picking up next time either.

got a missed call from this number on my phone but no voicemail or anything. not gonna call back because i have no idea who it is - probably some automated caller checking if the line is live, kinda like the other numbers mentioned here. really don’t want to confirm my number’s active to strangers. has anyone actually picked up when it rang? what’s the deal with this number?

Got a call where they wanted me to verify my name and then asked if I was between 20 and 70 years old. Then they checked if I was okay with my credit card, and just like that, they hung up. Really odd behaviour!
