10 yearsEnded up losing £250 to what turned out to be a loan scam.10 yearsI applied for a loan online and got turned down. Then this guy with an Asian accent rang me from this number, saying I could get £1000 without a guarantor, even with bad credit. But there was a catch - I had to buy an iTunes card from PayPoint and pay them £100 in cash first. He said once I did that and called him back, he’d send the £1000 to my bank account. I thought it was a joke, told him I’m not daft, and hung up. He rang again, started shouting abuse in some foreign language I couldn’t make out, calling me a “f***ing Pakistani” or something. I ended the call, but he keeps ringing my landline.
