Shortly after, I received a call from an Asian gentleman using this number, claiming that I could secure £1000 without the need for a guarantor, even with poor credit. However, he had a rather dubious requirement: I had to make an initial payment in cash after purchasing an iTunes card at a PayPoint, and then call him back. The cheeky blighter wanted me to send him £100 in cash first, and then he would transfer the £1000 into my account. I simply told him I was no fool and ended the call. Unsurprisingly, he rang me back, hurling insults and blabbering in a foreign tongue I couldn’t decipher, calling me a ‘f***ing Pakistani’. I hung up again, but he's continued pestering me on my landline.
