I've had a rather similar encounter to what others have shared here. When I picked up the phone, I thought it might be an estate agent calling-considering I'm based in the 020 8 region. However, after about four seconds of complete silence, they decided to end the call abruptly. Unfortunately, I can't call them back either. I’ve taken the liberty of blocking that number from reaching me again. I’ve got a hunch that it might be some unscrupulous individual trying to ascertain whether my number is active, likely to peddle off my details later. My advice? Just don’t engage with such calls!

Got a call from some accident helpline, sounded like a pre-recorded message from someone called Vicky or something, asking when the accident took place. Since I knew I hadn’t had one, I just stayed quiet. Then a real person’s voice said “Hello?” a few times before they just ended the call.

I got a call from a woman using this number, saying she was checking up on a car crash i was supposedly in. I told her i hadn’t been in any accident and asked how she even got my phone number since I'm registered with TPS. She said she’d take my number off their list straight away and said sorry. Bit annoying, sounds like a scam to me. Best to steer clear.
