I received a rather intriguing phone call the other day from a couple of individuals, one man and one woman, both with Indian accents, claiming to represent O2. They were desperately trying to entice me with a rather generous offer of a 30% discount on my monthly bill. Following our chat, they even sent me a text with an unrecognisable six-figure number, which they proceeded to request from me. What struck me as quite unsettling was their possession of my email address, which they read back to me. They then moved on to ask for my memorable name associated with the account. Naturally, I declined to provide any such information. It was quite remarkable how insistent they became after my refusal. Eventually, they abruptly cut the call when I wouldn't play along with their queries. It definitely left me feeling a tad uneasy!

I received a call from some bloke claiming to be from Vodafone, touting a discount offer. Unfortunately, the line was dreadful and full of static. He then inquired about the amount of my monthly bill. I thought it was a bit rich and told him he ought to already have that info, being my provider and all. He swiftly ended the call! What a laugh!

I attempted to return the call to this number, but it was shown as an invalid number when I tried. It’s likely just a one-way communication line.

They claimed to represent Three and mentioned that I’d been chosen for a new handset. When I queried them about the mobile number they'd provided, I pointed out that it belongs to a different network entirely. The bloke then asked for my email address, but I thought, "Hang on a sec, if you’re legit, you should already have that information!"
