FRAUD ALERT: Got a call about upgrading my O2 SIM, which I've dealt with loads of times before. This one was way trickier though - they actually had some of my info, like email addresses, and sent me a verification email that looked legit, coming from a domain that seemed to belong to O2 Virgin Media. The person on the phone sounded really calm and professional. It wasn’t until they asked for my bank and account details that the classic "your O2 service will be disconnected tomorrow" threat came up. I decided to ring O2 myself and they confirmed it was definitely a scam.
