Got a bloke with an Indian accent calling, kept saying he was from the National Grid regulatory board after I asked like ten times!! Seriously, who falls for that? They’ll do absolutely anything. Scary thing is, he actually knew my name. I've blocked the number now, but it's always fishy getting a London number when you’re down here in Cornwall.

Got a really annoying bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was from MAGNUM electricity, kept banging on about some offers. Wouldn’t listen when I told him he was cold calling! We’ve already been tricked into a dodgy contract from a call like this, connected to British Gas, and we ended up stuck in a year-long contract when all we wanted was to switch gas and electric to get a better price. Absolutely fed up with these calls!!!

These folks calling themselves Electriccity are actually after your personal info to scam you later. They start by offering great deals on your electric bill and even say if you owe anything, they’ll sort it out for you. Don’t fall for it, just block the number right away and don’t respond.

I've come across a rather dubious character calling themselves Nabil Hussain, who purports to represent a company named SME, all in an effort to lure businesses into securing lower energy rates. It appears to be a scam straight out of a playbook. They seem to be using the mobile phone number 07455972777, but when I attempted to reach them, there was no response. Just a heads-up to fellow business owners about these Indian fraudsters masquerading as energy consultants!
