8 monthsGot a call saying I’d won something in a Euromillions syndicate, and the draw would be on BBC1. The bloke was all friendly, even joking to buy him and his missus some chocolate if I win. Then he asked for my sort code, and I told him straight up I don’t give any banking info over the phone. He just hung up right there. I tried calling back a few times, each time a different person answered and I explained what had happened. I even told them I’d send the choccy if I won and asked for their address, but they kept saying I was mixed up and just kept cutting me off. Proper weird.BBC19 monthsTotal scam, dont answer!9 monthsGot a call from a scammer pretending I’d won the Euro lottery. They asked which bank account to send my prize to if I won. They said I won more than 150 euro worth of lottery tickets from some campervan competition I supposedly joined on Facebook. The bloke knew my name, age, phone number and address - all because I'd entered that contest on FB. I didn't give him any info during the call though. He said the call was recorded. Then asked me which bank account I wanted the winnings paid into. That’s when I just ended the call. Lesson learnt... never enter those FB competitions.
