The Welfare Group - rang me offering a Funeral Plan. Told them I'd cracked the code to everlasting life so no need for one, but I'd happily let them buy the secret for £4000, roughly what their plan cost. Wasn't trying to be cheeky or anything. They just hung up, no clue why!

Good grief, I can't quite believe what’s happening! It's turned into a complete farce. I’m not one to hand out my number casually, yet over the past half a year, I've been inundated with calls-sometimes as many as twenty in a single day, and it's all utter rubbish. I received a call on my mobile from an unfamiliar number and, to my surprise, they not only had my name but also my address! Clearly, someone has sold my information. An Asian gentleman on the line waffled on about some investment opportunity, but I made it abundantly clear that I wasn't interested. It's frustrating, really-my mobile number is meant to be on the Telephone Preference Service list, but that apparently holds little weight these days.

When i picked up, there was a brief silence before a bloke with a foreign tone said he was calling from ‘promise life’, part of something called the ‘contract network partners’ group - asking if i had funeral cover or over-50s life insurance. Even though I told him i wasn’t interested, he kept insisting he wasn’t selling anything and was just gathering info. Got fed up and ended the call!
