Absolute waste of time, they ring up out of the blue at the most inconvenient moments, best to just ignore them altogether.

They keep ringing like normal, but the moment you pick up, no one talks. When you say hello, they just cut the call straight away. Best to just block and ignore them!

I received a call from this number claiming my three account bill had been lowered, so I decided to hang up.

I received a call from a lady’s voice inquiring about 'Mr Smith', which isn't my name at all (I have a double-barrelled surname). So, I told her that there was no one of that name at this number. She apologised and promptly ended the call. I thought I'd give it another go after dialling 141 to keep my number private, but the line was dead-said it was unobtainable. Quite strange, really!

Got a call from a woman asking for ‘Mr Smith’ - which isn’t even close to my proper double-barrelled surname. I told her she had the wrong place and she said sorry before hanging up. I tried ringing back with 141 to hide my number but it just said the number couldn’t be reached.

Got a call from someone saying they were from “domestic services,” working with every energy provider to offer a £40 refund. They mentioned a company called Eon, but that’s not my supplier. When I told them that, they just dropped the call pretty quick. Bit odd, the bloke spoke with an Indian accent but was trying to sound American.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent claiming I won a £40 prize, which was obviously rubbish. When I mentioned the Telephone Preference Service, he acted like he’d never heard of it. Then he tried to brush it off by saying he couldn’t talk about the TPS for 'security reasons' - total rubbish! Definitely a scam.

I got a call from someone trying to sell me a call blocker to stop annoying calls. I told them I actually like scam calls ‘cause they amuse me. The person just said thanks for being honest and then hung up. Bit worrying, if you ask me.

Just got a call a little while ago from a woman with an Asian accent, trying to pitch me some device that supposedly blocks scam calls. Seemed a bit ironic, like she was trying to hide her own number or something. When I asked her which region in China she was calling from, she just chuckled.

Watch out for "Smart Save UK / Supercard" - they're total scammers. They say it's just £1.99, but all they really want is your card info!

Honestly, I reckon those sorts of folks deserve some proper punishment for exploiting people who are already struggling with living costs. It's just not on.

Got a call from some bloke saying I'd been getting loads of dodgy calls and they could sort it by sending me some blocking gear, which I found kinda funny. I mean, the guy ringing me was the very first scam call I'd had in ages!

It all sounded way too believable! They mentioned I could get £40 taken off my bill! I told them I wasn’t interested, I never asked for their call, and maybe I’d think about it if I got something written through the post. Guess what? They just hung up on me straight away!!!

They couldn’t even bother to remember my correct name, kept calling me by my old married name which I changed like 7 years back. This number’s been ringing my landline so many times, but since I only have a basic phone, I can’t block it. Every call is some new type of scam - do these people honestly reckon we’re all daft or what?

As soon as I answered, the caller just cut off without me saying a word! This sort of thing keeps happening lately. Perhaps they’re talking to someone else first and I’m just a backup? Hard to say for sure though.

This number keeps ringing me, I reckon it's best to just block it. Could be some scumbag trying to get hold of my credit card or bank info. Funny thing is, the number shows up as not even active.

They called about a smart TV, but I told them the person they wanted wasn't in. I asked if I could pass a message on, but they said they'd phone back sometime later. Seeing some other messages like this, I reckon it's probably a scam.

I got a call from some Christine, sounding like she was struggling with her accent, somewhere in Manchester I think. She was on about sending me a call blocker thingy to stop all those annoying calls, and the price was a whopping £250. What a deal, right? I just tossed her some fake bank numbers until she gave up and ended the call. Classic scam if you ask me!

Some time after the phone rang, a caller with an odd accent told me I could get £40 back on energy costs. She then started asking me whether I usually shopped at Tesco or Asda. I told her straight I wanted to be removed from their calling list, then ended the call and blocked the number.

I received a call from this number earlier today and, honestly, I couldn’t make head or tail of what they were on about. The voice sounded completely muffled, as if they were miles away. I had a strong inkling it might be some sort of scam or fraudulent attempt, so I decided to hang up.

I rang an older family member, who's well past 100, to see if he's been getting many dodgy calls lately. He thought it might be the phone engineer coming today, but when he answered, the caller said they had no clue about any engineer visit, so he just ended the call. I've tried ringing the number back a few times since, but it just says "number not valid".

I’ve had calls from these home appliance scammers a few times now, telling me I qualify for some kind of discount. After years in insurance, I’m well aware real companies don’t do stuff like that. They’ve tried to fool me several times but never succeeded. Honestly, it’s frustrating how they keep going on - I really hope someone shuts them down soon, they’re a proper pain and could cause trouble for others.

Just got a call from 02080680663 saying they were from Domestic and General, telling me my cooker warranty had run out. I was like, that’s not right - I got some documents last summer and even called then to renew it but was told since my cooker’s over 10 years old, they can’t take my payment. This number is definitely a scam, watch out!

I received several calls from the number 02080680663, representing RE appliances cover. After politely declining their offers on multiple occasions, I eventually lost my patience and told the caller to back off rather emphatically, as they just wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer. To my annoyance, I continued to receive calls from them for around an hour, which I chose to ignore completely. I can't help but think how vulnerable my 88-year-old father would have been if he’d answered; I fear that the lowlifes behind this number would have easily tricked him into parting with his money. Absolutely despicable behaviour!

Got a call from this number pushing some appliance insurance with a supposed 35% off. When I tried to ask straightforward questions, the caller was pretty dodgy and didn’t come across as polite. Also, when I asked how they got my details, she just dodged the question completely. Not impressed!

While I was out, my wife answered the phone and mentioned the caller's name was Mark Wilkinson. She then used 1471 to find out who had called and jotted down the number for me. We don't know anyone by that name at all. I tried calling the number back about four times, but each time an automated message said, "there is a fault." To me, this looks like a dodgy scam and quite risky.

I got a call from someone named Rita who said she was ringing on behalf of Appliance Care about my kitchen appliances. She wanted to know if they're all functioning properly. I explained that I’ve just had a brand new kitchen fitted with new appliances, so I’m hoping everything will work fine for a long while. I asked her not to ring me again, but she insisted it was her first call. I told her I’ve actually been getting loads of calls from that company recently and since I'm registered with the TPS, she really shouldn’t be contacting me at all. She said she'd make a note of it.

Received a call just now on my landline, which isn’t registered anywhere that I’m aware of. I picked up and greeted them, but got no response.
