I just got a call from a woman who sounded quite young, saying she was with some accident claims firm and that I’d supposedly been in an accident and could put in a claim. I ended the call nicely, but now I’m curious about how they got hold of my number.

I got a call from a lady saying she was with some calamity company, then she asked if I’d ever been in a car crash. When I told her I’d never had an accident, she just cut me off straight away. Honestly, felt pretty dodgy. No idea how they found my phone number either.
