Reports on phone number 02080595408
2 yearsToday this number tried ringing our home phone on three separate occasions, each time using a different ending on the last four digits. Since we use a BT Call Blocker and don’t have this number saved in our contacts, the phone didn’t make any noise. They clearly didn’t want to identify themselves, so we couldn’t decide whether to answer or not. Plus, they didn’t leave a voicemail, which always makes us a bit wary. After seeing what others have said about this number, we’ve chosen not to block it just yet.2 yearsI usually let my answerphone pick up calls, but this number left a really irritating beep-beep sound on the message. It was super loud and quite annoying. So, I’ve gone ahead and blocked them now.2 yearsI got a call and picked up, but they hung up straight away. Seemed pretty dodgy and not very polite either. Bit annoying!SMC2 yearsI picked up the phone and before I could say anything, they just disconnected. Saw the number from yesterday, and I’m pretty sure it’s the same lot of scammers pushing bogus boiler service deals.2 yearsThis number kept ringing three or four times before hanging up every time I tried to pick up. Pretty sure it’s just another scam call, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it.2 yearsI got a call from a woman claiming it was time for boiler servicing, which I instantly knew was rubbish since I’ve already booked a proper appointment with my trusted company. Just as I was about to tell her off and end the call, the line suddenly went dead. Turns out, some Open Reach engineer was fixing my phone line right then and accidentally dropped the call. Honestly, it saved me from having to be rude to the scammer!Open Reach2 yearsGot calls today again from what looks like the same scammer, but the last three numbers keep changing - seen 372, 409, 413, and 537 pop up. Never leaves a message on the voicemail. Definite scam alert!2 yearsThis number keeps ringing me loads over time, they keep swapping out the last three numbers like 537, 413, 409, and 372. Definitely feels like a scam to me.2 yearsSave yourself the hassle and just ignore this number - answering it is a total waste of time!2 yearsHad a call from one of those boiler scams today. My missus just told the bloke we already had a boiler, ta very much.2 yearsThis number has rung me a few times but they never left a voicemail or anything. I didn’t pick up because my number shows up as X Directory, so I just ignored it.2 yearsGot a call off this number, they said they were Heatplan Services and wanted to set up a boiler service plan. They tried asking for my bank details like sort code and account number to 'update records' before sending a mandate for the plan. They gave me a Heatplan customer service contact which looked legit at first. But when I looked closer at the number that actually called me, it seems linked to scam activity. Definitely felt fishy.Heatplan ServicesHeatplan2 yearsThey just keep calling but never say anything or leave a voicemail.2 yearsThey keep ringing but never bother to leave a message, so I just let the voicemail handle it.2 yearsGot a call about my 'boiler warranty' just as it’s about to expire in a few months. Seems a bit too handy, maybe they had some way of finding that out. Definitely felt like a bit of a dodgy move, trying to catch me at a weak spot. Pretty sly if you ask me.2 yearsThe phone rang a couple of days ago and I didn’t pick up first time. When I finally answered on the next try, there was nobody there. Since then, I’ve just been letting the calls ring out and not answering at all.2 yearsI've been getting what feels like spam calls pretty much daily, so I've just gone ahead and blocked them all.3 yearsThis week, I've had several calls from them, each time with the number appearing just a bit different.3 yearsIn under a day, this number has rang my home phone about 5 times. When I pick up, the best thing is to just end the call straight away. Really irritating!3 yearsA chap called me up and mentioned my name, claiming my boiler needed servicing. To be honest, he didn't come across as very credible.3 yearsI got a call from someone who actually used my name and told me my boiler needed servicing. Thing is, I don’t even have a boiler! They kept asking stuff that made no sense at all and didn’t fit with what’s true. Honestly, I don’t think calls like this are on the level at all. To me, it just seems like a dodgy marketing trick.3 yearsThis morning they rang me a couple of times but didn’t bother leaving any message on my voicemail. I just hung up straight away, didn’t say a word.Submit Your Own Report (020 8059 5408)
