Said they were from HMRC but I wasn’t having it!! Told them to send a proper letter about the £4,960 debt since I’d be hiring a lawyer asap!! They just hung up, didn’t even ask for my details!! Rang them back, and could hear someone laughing in the background!! Tried again and got told not to bother calling again as I’d already called!! BE WARNED - DON’T LET THESE SCAM ARTISTS GET TO YOU!!

I got one of those HMRC scam calls myself and its crazy cause I actually work for HMRC! They dont ever ring up about money owed or start shouting about legal stuff or arrestin folks. If you owed anything you'd have a letter from us already, no doubt about it. They dont act like that at all. Proper shocking these scams are going about scaring people like that.
