I got a phone call from 0208 0590461 and they already knew my name and where I live. They were saying something about renewing insurance on my washing machine. Thing is, I've never taken out any insurance for it. When I mentioned this, they told me it was the cover from the manufacturer that was ending soon. I then asked what brand the machine was, and they gave me the right model as an answer. But when I tried to ask when I bought it, they just hung up. My washing machine’s probably about a decade old.

Just a bit ago, I got a call from this number with the same scam story. They somehow had my address and name. When I asked what company they were from, the lady immediately hung up. Tried calling back, but the number didn’t go through.

Someone rang me, using my name and even my address, but the bloke on the other end sounded proper irritated that I wasn’t home. He went on about how ‘she never said she was married’ and then just hung up. Thing is, I haven’t lived with my folks for ages, so he basically shouted at my dad by mistake! When I tried ringing that number back, it just wouldn’t connect or recognise it at all. Weird experience.
