It's clear that these con artists are preying on the elderly. A gentleman with an Asian accent rang my grandmother several times about her pension. I quickly confiscated her phone and demanded that he reveal who he was, but he hung up without hesitation.

Occasionally, I receive calls from numbers starting with the same digits, and as soon as I answer, they hang up. I've made it quite clear that I'm not interested and have told them to shove off!

When are the powers that be going to take serious action against these persistent nuisance calls? I wouldn't hold my breath! The moment you pick up, they immediately disconnect. I've blocked this particular number, but you can bet your bottom dollar they'll be back using a variation of the same old digits!
