I received a call from someone purporting to be with the repairs department of our housing association. To begin with, he rang my wife’s mobile, which is odd since our housing association doesn’t have her number listed. Then, when I asked for his details, he couldn’t even provide our names. To top it off, when I pressed him about which housing association he was representing, he sidestepped the question entirely. That’s three clear warning signs in under a minute!
