For quite a while now, these fraudsters have been repeating the same glaring slip-up, and I’m not going to reveal what it is - better they keep tripping over it for me and anyone else who might get caught out. My phone number is pretty much clean; only people I trust and have saved can get through. Normally I ignore unknown callers, but this time I picked up since I was waiting on a call from someone else. What a bunch of muppets.

For the past year, these fraudsters have been repeating the exact same obvious slip-up, even though they switch up their fake numbers every time. (I’m not going to say what it is, so they keep messing up for me and anyone else who might fall for it.) My number is pretty guarded, only shared with trusted contacts saved in my phone. Normally, I don’t pick up unknown numbers, but this time I did because I was expecting a call from a third party when the scammer rang.
