I received a call purporting to be from some housing disrepair service. The thing is, I’m neither a council tenant nor renting privately; I actually own my house. Despite my requests for them to delete my information from their records, they keep ringing me! It's becoming rather tiresome, so I’ll be lodging a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

After receiving a number of calls with nobody on the other end, the caller eventually mustered the courage to chat. It turned out to be a chap with a distinctly foreign accent, pitching a service that supposedly blocks all those pesky telemarketing calls. I had absolutely no interest, yet he was relentless in his approach. In the end, I had no choice but to block him.
