Got a call where they kept asking about my phone model and how much my bill was each month. Then they tried pushing me to switch to a new contract with a Samsung that would actually cost me more than what I’m already paying.

I’m starting to think Currys or Carphone Warehouse might have had a data leak or something, judging by how many strange calls I’m getting. It’s worrying really. Hardly anyone knows this number of mine, so it’s got to be a data breach. They seriously need to step up and sort this out. Cheers to everyone who's shared their experiences too.

I’ve encountered a similar problem! They pretended to be representing the Three network, probing into my existing phone contract and inquiring about my monthly expenses. They then proceeded to entice me with a 'fantastically good' SIM deal alongside a shiny new phone. I expressed my disinterest, but they pressed on with rather overbearing justification.

This bloke has rung me three times already, each time from a different number and seemingly from various parts of the UK, as shown by the caller ID. He claims to be representing O2 and is keen to present me with some sort of deal. I requested that he shoot me an email since O2 already has my contact details. Unsurprisingly, no email has arrived. I've just decided to hang up on him now.

Do not engage. Just block. I suspect it’s a scam. It seems to be running from outside the European region. They appear to be con artists pretending to be trustworthy British retailers, like Currys and Car Phone Warehouse.

I struggled to decipher what that chap was rambling on about; his speech was all over the place and he appeared to be under the influence of something. He attempted to pitch me some so-called fantastic offer on a mobile phone, but when I informed him that he ought to remove my number-since I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service and such calls are unlawful-he simply wouldn't listen. Make sure to report any scams to Action Fraud!
