They lure you in with ridiculously cheap offers, then collect your personal details. Using this info, they place orders with other phone companies like O2 or Vodafone under your name and address - but for a different phone. When you receive this unexpected phone, they tell you it’s a mix-up and ask you to send it back to an address they give you. Basically, they’re ordering phones in your name, shipping them to you, then getting you to return the items to their own address. When you contact the actual mobile providers about the phones, that’s when you realise you’re the victim of a scam. Please, if you come across anything like this, make sure you report it to the police, Action Fraud, and any relevant mobile operators. It’s important we try to stop these scammers before they trick anyone else!
