They just keep going, over the past 4 days I've got 8 calls, all pretty much the same but with little changes in who they say they are, plus the last 4 digits switch up a bit. Yeah, they're a pain and they must be daft too, surely they know after 8 calls I've clocked it's a scam - blocked them 8 times and I will do the same for any new numbers they use. FYI - once you block a number, make sure you delete it from your call logs as well or the calls might still get through, no idea why but it's happened to me!

I just got a call from someone asking for a person I’m definitely not, and then they went on about how they mispronounced my name, which wasn’t even close to it. Feels like a sneaky way to lower your guard. When I said I had no idea who they were (apparently the company’s called Your Preferences), they got all annoyed and kept insisting it wasn’t a sales pitch. I just ended the call.

They kept saying my last name all wrong, and when I asked what the call was about since I was working, they gave me a company name I just couldn’t understand. Then they said they only needed like 20 seconds to ask some questions, so I just ended the call.

Scam alert - said they were from Virgin (which I actually have an account with) and the whole call lasted like 30 seconds tops. I could've clocked it on my watch if I cared. Then they asked if I had a TV! (Virgin Media wouldn't be much good without a telly, right?) I cut them off there and blocked the number, but they keep ringing back using a number that's just a bit different each time.

Got a call from a lady trying to flog me an iPhone 12, said she was calling from Carphone Warehouse. Felt fishy when she promised to email me the ‘amazing iPhone offer’ but never did. Good job i was a bit wary of her, so i straight up asked if she was trying to pull some scam on me as i get plenty emails but never got her one. She went quiet, totally lost for words and didnt try to explain herself. She just said i could contact a senior person to prove it wasnt a scam. Then she called back but my phone was busy, so i called her back and she didnt pick up. People really should be aware of this dodgy woman and report her.
