Honestly, I've compiled a list that's practically as extensive as the Yellow Pages for dodgy phone numbers! There ought to be legislation against this madness, haha!

I asked him what organisation he was from and if he was some kind of scammer, plus where he got my number from. He claimed to be with UK Choice, but I never gave them my details. Before I could say much more, he just hung up on me. I’ve blocked the number since then.

I've had three calls this week from a firm saying they are United UK, but each call came from a different number. The moment I ask them where they found my contact, they just end the call. Feels like they've been told not to answer, probably worried about breaking GDPR rules or something!

Got a call from someone with an accent that sounded Indian, asking if I was Mr Sweetman. I asked who was calling, but he just said it was a call from the UK and not to worry about it. Then he tried to find out my age group. When I asked him again which company he was with and who he was exactly, he got really annoyed, saying he’d already told me. Then, without another word, he just hung up! Proper dodgy behaviour if you ask me.

Someone rang me claiming to be from The Energy Advice Bureau, saying they could help cut my bills. When I asked why they needed my info, they got a bit dodgy. As soon as I mentioned GDPR rules, they quickly ended the call and vanished.

Fedex sometimes rings you from this number about missed deliveries or to sort out a new delivery time. They’re always quite helpful and nice. If you’re waiting on a package, chances are it’s them and not some random call. Honestly, I don’t find it annoying or anything.

Got a call from a woman asking for my 8-year-old son! She claimed he’d won some competition for an iPhone 7 and said he could get a quote for utilities. I just hung up straight away. Honestly, don’t pick up if it’s from them - just block the number and move on!

Got a call from some company called Speed, they claimed there was an accident I wasn’t involved in. They said they were located in Manchester, but the phone number they used was actually from Norwich. Very fishy if you ask me.
