It was some sort of credit repair scheme, clearly just a money scam.

I received a rather peculiar call today from a gentleman who claimed to be associated with Housing Repairs. He bombarded me with an array of inquiries regarding the state of my home and whether any repairs were necessary. I can't shake the feeling that this is some sort of con, especially since I couldn't find this number on the web as a legitimate contact.

Got a call on my mobile from a number I didn’t recognise, didn’t pick up and ended up deleting and blocking it straight away.

Someone rang me about some housing repairs, sounded like they were from the Indian subcontinent with a strong accent. I struggled to understand what they were trying to say even after asking them to repeat themselves. Since I have autism, I told them to contact my carer instead and then ended the call.

Someone just rang me saying they were from Vanguard or something like that, telling me they could slash my debt by half. As soon as I said I didn’t owe anything, they hung up right away.

Early this morning, my wife answered a call from a person named Arc and came over to fetch me. But as soon as I took the phone, the caller had already hung up.

I usually ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise. This bloke spoke English with a strange accent and even used my first name. I had no clue what company he claimed to represent, but he was pushing some kind of online financial investment. There was loads of background noise, so I told him I wasn’t interested, yet he kept going on. Just before I ended the call, I told him not to ring me again. I’ve blocked the number now, but doubt it will make much difference.

Looking at their website, the so-called team members like h., s.s., a.s., ch., v., w.t., andr. all appear to be names taken from a GoDaddy template they used to build the site. I've seen the exact same names pop up on other sites offering all sorts of things - everything from plumbing to joinery and even insurance. Total red flag in my book.
