Got a call from some dodgy lot claiming they're from British Gas, but you can hear loads of other scammers chatting away in the background through their awful headset. Seriously, just add this number to your blacklist and don’t waste your time talking to these muppets.

Last week I got a call from someone saying they were Aviva about this accident I wasn’t at fault in. They asked if I’d spoken to a solicitor yet. I mentioned I had a meeting with mine tomorrow, but the guy on the phone wanted me to cancel it, saying they already had £5,000 ready to pay me. I told him my solicitor said I should be looking at around five million at least. As soon as I said that, the bloke just ended the call.

When I probed for the name of the individual he was after, it turned out it wasn't me at all. Clearly, this is a dodgy operation.

Got a call from someone claiming to be legal advisors for an insurance company about a car accident I supposedly had years back. Thing is, I’ve never crashed a car in my life. When I asked where they got my phone number, they just kept mentioning some "third party" without giving any real answers. Definitely felt a bit dodgy to me.

This is definitely a con! The caller claimed they were dealing with a reimbursement for a car crash I supposedly had. When I firmly explained I hadn’t been in any incident, he then insisted I must be an innocent bystander in some mishap. I reiterated that there was no accident involving me whatsoever. He then had the audacity to suggest it could have involved a cyclist or a pedestrian, and promised he would update the records and drop the reimbursement. When I pressed him for details about the accident, he suggested maybe it involved my husband or even my daughter. In the end, he just hung up on me. For the record, I don’t drive and I certainly don't have a daughter!
